Interim Assistant to the Dean

 

Job Description: The Interim Assistant to the Dean will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Dean of Students Affairs Office on a full-time, temporary basis. This role includes managing schedules, handling communications, coordinating meetings, supporting various administrative tasks, and assisting with budget management and social media/email campaigns. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities:

    • Manage the Dean's calendar, including scheduling meetings and appointments
    • Handle incoming communications, including emails and phone calls, and respond or redirect as appropriate
    • Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and other documents
    • Organize and maintain office files and records
    • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events, including room reservations and catering
    • Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting
    • Support the development and execution of social media and email campaigns
    • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Dean

Qualifications:

    • Proven experience in an administrative or support role
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Express)
    • Experience with budget management and financial reporting
    • Familiarity with social media platforms and email marketing tools
    • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
