Job Summary and Qualifications
At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. We are seeking an Ultrasound Technologist. As the Ultrasound Technologist, you will be proficient in two of the following: echocardiography, vascular sonography and/or sonography. Your tasks and responsibilities include:
· You will perform abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical) and transvaginal sonograms.
· You will be proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid, breasts & scrotom) along with ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis and aspirations.
· You will have strong knowledge base in cross sectional anatomy and vasculature.
· You will display high degree of proficiency of scanning knowledge
· You will perform upper and lower arterial and venous vascular studies (carotid studies – with measurements and manipulation –augmentations and segmental pressures).
· You will be proficient in in performing complete echocardiographic studies, which include but are not limited to 2-D mode & color doppler studies.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited ultrasound program
RDMS in Abdomen / OB-GYN/ or RVT
Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in General, Breast and Vascular ultrasound
CPR or BLS within 30 days of hire
