Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have medical assisting, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
Follow up with patients
Update patient information through data entry
Answer inbound phone calls
Order lab tests
Relay lab results to patients
Schedule follow-up appointments
Perform triage duties
Essential Skills
Medical experience as a Medical Assistant
High School Diploma
Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Athena
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to order lab tests
Experience in appointment scheduling and patient care
Strong customer service skills
Additional Skills & Qualifications
1+ year of experience in Medical Assisting
Medical Assisting diploma or certification preferred
RMA certification is a plus
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience working in front desk roles and handling insurance matters
Work Environment
This role involves working onsite at a clinic, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. The position offers medical, dental, vision, and 401K benefits, along with holiday pay for six holidays. Upon permanent hire, employees receive nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO. Performance-based pay raises are available, and outstanding actions can earn PTO tokens. The company frequently organizes dinners, lunches, and parties for employees.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
