Brief Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing startup operations for the new Hospitality Certificate.
This will include working with MSU Registrar and Gallatin College Business Administration Program Director. Will manage relationships with EHHD , and JJCBE to ensure continuing education pathways between certificate and degree programs.
Will work with related two-year colleges as outlined in grant to determine program development opportunities such as online delivery or student exchange opportunities Recruiting actives will be managed in coordination with GC Enrollment Manger, Director of Community Engagement and MSU Admissions Office. Will work with Dual Enrollment program to offer selected classes for high school students. This is a grant funded position.
Position terminates at end of grant period June 30, 2028.

Position Details
General Statement
The Gallatin College Hospitality Program Manager is responsible for the non-teaching management of the program. This position must work closely with Gallatin College faculty, staff, and industry partners. Additionally, this position will work closely with MSU Hospitality Management faculty and staff to ensure alignment for all programs. This position is student and industry focused. All responsibilities are carried out in compliance with state law, federal law and University and College policy and procedure.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as program manager for Hospitality and Culinary Arts programs.
Assist Dual Enrollment Coordinator with any dual enrollment courses offered by any hospitality and culinary programs.
Manage all administrative needs for the culinary and hospitality offerings.
Manage new certificate program start up activities.
Facilitate Hospitality and Culinary Arts industry advisory meetings.
Work alongside EHHD and Business hospitality management staff and faculty, including potential remote delivery needs.
Compile data and informational reports for grant activities and report to appropriate stakeholders.
Interact with Gallatin College students, faculty, and staff daily.
Recruit and connect students from across the state to Gallatin College MSU’s hospitality and culinary offerings.
Work with Gallatin College Student Success team and assist Gallatin College degree seeking students as needed.
Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Bachelor’s or associate degree in related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Demonstrated experience working with students or similar population as mentor, trainer, advisor or coach in a professional environment.
Demonstrate experience networking with industry partnerships.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications and learning new technologies and software programs
Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills
Master’s Degree in Adult and Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Public Administration, or related discipline.
Experience in the hospitality industry
Demonstrated experience in Admissions, Enrollment, Advising, Student Success, and Career Placement, especially with college students.

Position Special Requirements/Additional Information
Some in-state travel and non-traditional hours will be required.
This position is grant funded and dependent upon continuation of funding. The current grant will expire in the Academic Year 2028.
