Description

Operates a Geographical Information System (GIS) and serves as the technical lead for coordinating various GIS projects, including programming and configuration as needed.

Manages internal GIS projects by coordinating activities to meet established goals and constraints, conducting project meetings, setting schedules/timelines, and maintaining status reports.

Creates, maintains, and updates GIS databases; edits GIS data; handles data/metadata management; ensures quality control for GIS databases; develops digital standards for enterprise-wide GIS databases; converts data to/from GIS formats; and produces GIS products such as layers, shapefiles, custom on-demand maps, online web maps, and applications.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Geography, Geomatics, Urban and Regional Planning, Engineering, or closely related field; supplemented by three (3) years previous experience and/or training with ESRI ArcGIS 10.1 or higher, Microsoft SQL Server, creating and maintaining ArcGIS for Server services, online web maps, and applications.
