The company is currently seeking an experienced Controls Engineeer.
Manage all aspects of Manufacturing Quality to meet targets consistent with customer needs, timing, and the long-term success of the organization.
Responsibilities
Use various specific problem-solving tools & methodologies and reporting formats i.e. 8-D, 6-Sigma, DMAIC, PDCA etc. Provide best in class customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction with our material handling systems. Create and maintain DFMEA and PFMEA design documents. Develop and Improve manufacturing processes. Support the Project Manager (on Special Projects) in reporting of build status, documentation of build books, quality analysis. Support the Project Manager (on Special Projects) as a customer facing representative on status of project. Support and improve the Preventive Maintenance schedule for the site. Be the primary interface point between manufacturing and engineering. Installation and technical support of PLC based hardware and software. Program, troubleshoot, and repair: sensors, scanners, visualization systems, motors, frequency inverters and encoders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering science or equivalent experience Working experience with troubleshooting PLC's preferred. Work experience with material handling equipment, preferred, with service experience related to automated material handling systems is strongly preferred. AutoCAD experience (preferred). Experience with testing, implementing, and utilizing Automated Guided Vehicles. Experience measuring quality and manufacturing effectiveness. Experience with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems. Demonstrated Physical Abilities Move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment Operate a computer and other productivity machinery Inspect documents Communicate with others through talking/hearing Read/identify/assess forms and correspondence Capable of maneuvering through an industrial conveyor system requiring climbing access ladders Negotiating screen guards Lifting and/or carrying objects up to 40 lbs.
