Our client, a leader in the technology sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician, you will be part of the IT department supporting critical data operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 1

Location: Boydton, VA

Pay Range: $23-$25/hour

Duration: 18 Months on W2

Day Shift: 12-hrs (Thu-Sat) & (Wed-Sat)

What's the Job?

• Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance.

• Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program.

• Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs.

• Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports.

• Remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission and follow procedures for preparing, installing, and decommissioning equipment.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.

• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.

• Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).

• Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays.

• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training preferred.
