Sherwin-Williams Company Maintenance Reliability Engineering Intern in Bowling Green, Kentucky
This position will be hosted by the Maintenance Department in a manufacturing facility within Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain group and will report directly to the site Maintenance Manager. The goal for this internship is to help hone maintenance reliability engineering skills in a manufacturing facility and learn the different processes and tasks that will help prepare the intern for a full-time engineering role within Sherwin-Williams. It also aims to help establish attention to details, awareness and understanding of the safety requirements in a manufacturing facility.

Job duties include contact with other employees, operating heavy machinery, and access to proprietary information, raw materials, finished merchandise, and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. - Maintenance of the site CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and completion of Rx (prescriptive maintenance) projects.
- Work with management and site staff to ensure Rx (prescriptive maintenance) and CI (continuous improvement) projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Possess strong AutoCAD and P&ID skills for creating and editing the site P&ID library.
- Develop a learning plan and focus on tasks that will prepare the intern for full time employment in the engineering field.
- Add, delete, and manage PMS (planned maintenance system), assets, and work orders in CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
- Follow all site safety and PPE (personal protective equipment) requirements.
- Work closely with management through audits and action items from ARCs, Audits, and others to ensure all gaps are closed.
- Help maintain current Rx level and aid and support to achieve next level.
- Work with maintenance team members to complete PMs (preventive maintenance) and get hands on experience with repairs and the process.
- Create and update SOPs (standard operating procedures) and work orders for the Maintenance Department.
- Solve problems and collaborate effectively with the Maintenance team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Must be currently in an accredited four (4) year college or university at the time of the internship.
- Must have sophomore, junior or senior class standing working towards a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
- Must have Experience in AutoCAD and P&ID
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have experience in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related majors
- Have at least previous Internship or Co-op experience with Sherwin-Williams.
- Have at least previous Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related field.
- Have at least previous Internship or Co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division.
- Have at least leadership experience as demonstrated by your environment in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community.
