Coordinates and participates in cooking, baking, and preparation of traditional Indian food; coordinates activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation including seasoning and cooking of salads, fish, meats, vegetables, desserts and other foods; plans menu items, and analyzes recipes to assign prices to menu items based on food, labor, and other costs; instructs cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food; orders or requisitions food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation and keep records and regulations; checks the quantity and quality of received products. Must have three (3) months of experience in the job offered as an Assistant Chef. Three (3) months of experience (inclusive of experience required heretofore) must have included the following: 1) Professional preparation of cuisine; 2) Planning menu items; and3) Handling kitchen operations, ordering, and maintaining accounts.
