Tecomet HR Assistant (part time) in Boulder, Colorado

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is responsible for providing administrative support to Plant Manager and the Sr. HR Manager by documenting staff changes, performance reports, recruiting, driving culture changes and some event planning . HR assistant duties involve a wide range of support activities inside our HR department, from onboarding to maintaining our employee database to tracking daily sign in sheets.

This is a Part-time position - approx. 20 weekly.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with recruiting task such as reviewing resumes, conduction and scheduling interview and following up with candidate

  • Schedule and coordinate onboarding assignments

  • Assist HR Department with policy changes, procedures and changes as well as communication all updates to employee

  • HR Assistant will act as the liaison between HR and employees, ensuring smooth communication and prompt resolution of requests and questions

  • Serve as a source of information for employees, promptly answering questions or refer to proper department in a timely and professional manner.

  • Administrative support for other designated department/s.

  • Able to meet attendance requirements per the employee handbook policy.

  • Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining employee database, reviewing resumes, etc. for the HR department.

  • Assist with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, regulations and policies

  • Gather and process paperwork for new hires

  • Provide orientations for new employees by sharing onboarding packages and explaining company policies

  • Maintain proper records of employee attendance, files, leave, etc.

  • Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies

  • Address employees’ queries

  • Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees.

  • Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisor and/or manager as deemed appropriate.

  • Assist with various site levels of implementation and system onboarding.

  • Comfortable with interacting with senior-level security manager

  • Highly organized able to work independently.

  • Other projects and tasks as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: .

  • Ability to communicate verbally and written with internal employees.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Ability to communicate respectfully with others and work in a team environment.

  • Candidates must be well organized and comfortable working independently.

  • An attention to detail in all activities is imperative.

  • Computer literacy with familiarity with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint is required.

  • Minimum of one year working in an HR role.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Candidate must have High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

  • Associate degree preferred but not required with comparable experience in HR.

  • Experience using ADP /HRIS programs preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Well lighted, heated/or air-conditioned indoor office/production setting with adequate ventilation.

  • Light physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of a primarily administrative nature.

  • Ability to maneuver throughout the facility/facilities as needed.

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers.

  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures including wearing proper PPE.
