Job Title: Senior Tax Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager to develop and maintain efficient tax compliance processes, create internal tax policies, and collaborate with external tax consulting firms. This role requires a deep understanding of federal, state, and international tax returns, tax audits, and Nexus studies to ensure accurate and timely filings.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain efficient and effective tax compliance processes to optimize resource utilization and ensure both accurate and promptly filed returns.
Create and maintain tax compliance internal policies and documentation.
Assist in the preparation and review of federal, state, and international tax returns in collaboration with the Company’s external tax consulting firms.
Manage and review the Company’s annual and quarterly tax provision in collaboration with the Company’s external tax consulting firm.
Support and complete Nexus studies and associated compliance and registrations with sales, use, B&O and income tax filings.
Monitor impact of changes in tax law on the company's compliance obligations and document analysis of technical accounting on tax issues.
Coordinate with external tax experts regarding R&D tax credit studies.
Coordinate with external tax experts on tax compliance in foreign jurisdictions, including transfer pricing studies.
Manage tax audits, including responding to requests for information in a timely and accurate manner, preparing responses to proposed adjustments, resolving tax disputes, and bringing audits to efficient and favorable conclusions.
Coordinate with third party insurance brokers to provide policy information to various stakeholders both internally and externally.
Oversee preparation of insurance applications annually.
Assist payroll team with 401K audit.
Complete organization requests for business applications, government surveys, and vendor documentation.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA certification required.
5+ years of professional experience with at least 2 years in a similar role.
Deep tax and compliance expertise.
Proficient with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Public company experience in a similar role.
Experience with Avalara and NetSuite.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of organization.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members across the business.
Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow.
Comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently.
Team player with a great attitude.
Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $200000.00
