Amazon Sr. UX Designer, Devices Identity and Personalization in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

The Devices Identity and Personalization team is seeking a Sr. UX Designer to drive and deliver LLM driven, personalized conversational assistant customer experiences. You will create innovative conversation and UX designs for personalized conversational assistants at scale. You will work closely with senior leadership, other design teams, researchers, product management, engineering, and data science to successfully go from early stage product concepts to major launches of new features and offerings.

Key job responsibilities

  • Create a vision for innovative advancements in LLM driven conversational assistants addressing complex and ambiguous challenges without sacrificing speed of delivery

  • Present designs and facilitate strategic design discussions to top-level executives.

  • Collaborate with design and research teams across Amazon to ensure a consistent and delightful experience across all customer touch points

  • Partner with the Product Management team to translate business requirements and use cases into delightful design solutions

  • Collaborate directly with software engineers and data scientists to bring the resulting designs and vision to market

A day in the life

You will work directly with product managers and leadership to understand requirements, and develop a customer experience vision that can be articulated with concrete design concepts. You will drive consensus around this vision, including presenting to senior leadership and stakeholders. You will socialize this vision with other design teams across Amazon and work with multiple teams in a fast paced environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of design experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, InVision, or similar

  • Experience with conversation or chat bot design

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
