Oracle Sr Principal Analyst - Apps DBA in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Description

Work with Oracle's world class technology to develop, implement, and support Oracle's global infrastructure.

As a member of the IT organization, lead the design, development, modification, debugging, and evaluation programs for extremely complex internal systems. Provide expertise to analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new internal systems. Develop conversion and system implementation plans. Recommend changes to development, maintenance, and system standards.

Provide leadership and expertise in extremely complex internal systems, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommend and justify major changes to existing internal systems.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the operations of customer environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations. Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and support. This is an opportunity to bring a combination of deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support to a wide range of complex production environment problems related to immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud, extremely high performance, and high availability requirements. Additionally, this role will be helping with internal projects including automation, scripting and AI tools.

Key Experience:

10 plus years of experience in IT industry with 5 plus years working with the following technical skills:

  • Expert knowledge and experience with WebLogic administration and configuration.

  • Experience with Oracle Database on Exadata.

  • Experience with cloud platforms preferably OCI.

  • Experience with Flexcube products either functional or technical highly preferred.

Experience with scripting languages (i.e. SQL, Python) and tools including GitHub, Ansible and Terraform,

Prior experience in customer facing roles in either implementation, support or run and maintain.

Ability to lead and cadence war rooms and customer project meetings.

Ability to travel up to 25%.

BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area.

Bilingual in French/English preferred.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

Canada: Hiring Range from $76,700 to $167,000 CAD per annum

US: Hiring Range: from $45.53 to $95.91 per hour; from $94,700 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
