Job Description:
Our client is looking for a talented and experienced ServiceNow Developer to join their core Service Management & IT Operations team. This role is integral to ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform, while also contributing to the overall success of IT service management processes. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in ServiceNow development, administration, and configuration, and will collaborate with various teams to support business goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):
Administer the ServiceNow platform on a daily basis, including making approved updates to processes and workflows, troubleshooting incidents, and fulfilling support requests to ensure the platform's optimal performance.
Lead and execute ServiceNow implementation tasks such as system configuration, integrations, and custom application development.
Develop and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation for all ServiceNow processes, configurations, and changes.
Communicate ServiceNow processes, capabilities, and operational information effectively across all levels of management.
Perform installation and testing of vendor-provided updates and new releases, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption.
Collaborate with users to identify and refine business requirements, processes, and workflows, translating them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
Assist in the design and implementation of ServiceNow integrations, working closely with business partners and technical teams.
Identify and define business solutions to meet the needs of users, while optimizing system capabilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer or Administrator, with hands-on expertise in configuring core ServiceNow modules including ITSM (Change, Incident, Request, CMDB/Discovery), Self-Service Portal, HR Service Delivery, CSM, and/or Performance Analytics.
Experience in developing scoped applications on the platform is required.
Strong understanding of IT service management processes, operations, and best practices.
Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall project management methodologies.
Advanced knowledge of scripting languages, reporting, and other technical skills related to ServiceNow development and administration.
Proven experience in producing enterprise-level reports, including compiling data from multiple sources.
Proficiency in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving service-related issues, as well as understanding processes for problem identification, recovery, and escalation.
Ability to adapt to changing requirements and new technologies, demonstrating flexibility and a quick learning curve.
Technical proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SOAP/REST API.
ServiceNow Administration certification is preferred.
