The opportunity

Unity Technologies is seeking a benefits professional with experience supporting employee benefits and leave programs in the US and Canada. This temporary role will be providing coverage for a parental leave of absence. Our Benefits Specialists are essential for ensuring that our benefits programs provide a seamless and service-focused experience, empowering our employees to excel in their creative and productive pursuits.

What you'll be doing

• Serve as the local benefits and leave expert, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of our plans and effectively communicating them to employees. Resolve benefits or claims issues promptly and accurately.

• Independently manage benefit administration for the US and Canada, including compliance reporting such as 5500s. Administer leave of absence and accommodation programs, creating or streamlining processes and tools as necessary to improve efficiency. Ensure all processes are executed accurately and efficiently.

• Partner with local brokers and vendors, overseeing contract performance and ensuring optimal service delivery.

• Gather and act on employee feedback to enhance benefits programs and services.

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated integrity, strong customer service skills, and resourcefulness. Ability to handle employee requests with patience, empathy, and a problem-solving approach. Ability to handle confidential information with good judgment, tact, and discretion.

• Highly organized, able to manage various processes with accuracy and completeness.

• Comfortable working independently and in a team in a fast-paced environment, proactively seeking answers when needed.

• Experience in benefits administration in high-touch environments. Multi-state experience in benefits, leave of absence, ADAAA, with Canadian experience as a plus. Experience using Workday or a similar HRIS system.

• Solid understanding of HR best practices for compliance and records management.

• Google Suite Proficiency: Gmail, Google Sheets, etc.
