KPMG's valuation professionals provide clients robust and informed guidance on valuation matters across multiple sectors, deal stages and business needs. We determine fair (market) value of equity shares, assets or complex financial instruments for mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, tax and other regulatory standards. Our engagements include providing pre and post deal Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Impairment Testing, employee or management incentive scheme valuations and recurring fund valuations. KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, WNT - EVS, Transfer Pricing .

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with field professionals and other offices of KPMG LLP (including KPMG International member firms and other WNT practice groups) to advise a full range of corporate clients, including major multinational clients, on transfer pricing and valuation matters

  • Conduct and document economic and tax research necessary to support and substantiate tax advice, tax controversy, and tax return-signing positions and monitor new developments in tax law

  • Prepare or review tax positions related to transfer pricing, including those in tax memoranda and opinions, private letter rulings, responses to IRS inquiries and document requests; formulate closing agreements, tax compliance tools, presentation materials, and other deliverables

  • Contribute to the growth, experience, and institutional knowledge of the WNT practice staff level team members

  • Serve as a specialist on transfer pricing and valuation matters, including developing and providing instruction for internal firm courses, client trainings, and conferences, authoring and reviewing articles, participating in professional activities, and performing other risk management activities

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of demonstrated experience in applying economics to areas such as transfer pricing, econometric modeling, or statistical analysis in an audit, tax, and/or advisory firm, professional services firm, think tank, public sector agencies, and corporations preferred; classroom instruction will also be considered

  • PhD or PhD candidate degree in economics, business or finance from an accredited university

  • Experience with large project management including managing multiple client engagements and client service teams preferred

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex information, including ability to translate research findings into clear and actionable results

  • Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task
