The Relationship Analyst (‘RA’) will be accountable for coordinating client related activities within our Client Group, working with the relationship teams as well as other Wellington line functions to ensure that we successfully deliver on the agreed upon operating and reporting requirements of each of our client relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The RA provides timely and accurate support to the firm’s Financial Intermediaries Group clients. The analyst will work closely with all members of the group as well as many other functional areas of the firm, on a portfolio of assigned accounts. He/she will coordinate and conduct analysis of client portfolios, respond to inquiries on a wide variety of topics, and perform other tasks as appropriate. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of Wellington’s investment approaches, the general reporting needs of our clients invested in those approaches, and the guidelines which govern our activities related to marketing and client reporting.

  • Develop an expertise in the sub advisory channel for the Financial Intermediaries Group regarding clients’ investments to develop and deliver product-level content in client reporting.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with appropriate client/prospect contacts and participate in external meetings as appropriate.

  • Build internal network relationships and manage internal stakeholders for effective collaboration.

  • Prepare briefing packages and presentation materials for client calls and meetings.

  • Coordinate and/or execute operational inquiries and changes of the client relationship such as client on-boarding, client portfolio closures, client transitions, guideline changes, benchmark changes, etc.

  • Conduct analysis on potential new business opportunities.

  • Maintain an understanding of competitive peer groups and conduct peer analysis, business management, and strategy work.

  • Willingness to pitch in during peak periods across the team and potentially for other teams in the Client Group.

  • Eventually contribute to project work and initiatives that advance the group and firm forward.

QUALIFICATIONS

·Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment requiring focus, creativity, and problem-solving skills

·Strong analytical and communication skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to learn quickly and manage simultaneous projects

·The job entails extensive written and analytical work, thus proficiency using both Microsoft Excel and Word are required and experience with Salesforce is a plus

·A bachelor's degree required with preference given to candidates with progress toward the CAIA designation, CFA designation, MBA or other graduate level degree.

·At least two years prior experience in the investment industry

·A positive attitude, terrific work ethic, very strong attention to detail, and sense of humor are required.

·Must be self-directed and requires an individual who can work independently under tight time constraints and evolving priorities.

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 65,000 - 150,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
