Dana-Farber Cancer Institute Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Cantor Lab in Boston, Massachusetts

The Department of Cancer Immunology & Virology, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute invites applications for postdoctoral training. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with demonstrated potential for creativity and excellence who are working on central problems in immunology. The Cantor laboratory studies the immune response of T cell genes and their products in the context of anti-tumor immunity, antibody-mediated rejection, autoimmune and neurodegenerative disorders.

Successful candidates will receive joint appointments at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Department of Immunology, Harvard Medical School.

  • The position will involve novel approaches to immunotherapy.

  • Background in immunology and preclinical studies in mouse models and/or human systems is essential.

  • Relevant experience with murine or human T cells and other immune cells in vitro and in vivo, immunological techniques and multicolor flow cytometry are highly desirable.

  • CRISPR, RNA/DNA analyses (RNA-seq) immunohistochemistry, immunoprecipitation, immunoblotting, and general lab organization/safety.

  • Maintenance and presentation of as well as writing up experimental data for reports and manuscripts.

  • Candidates with a recent PhD or MD/PhD in immunology and experience in murine or human T-cell immunology, molecular biology and in vivo modeling are encouraged to apply.

  • Candidates with strong records of scientific accomplishment are preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to perform self-directed research and to work effectively as part of a team.

  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, intellectually curious and have a strong work ethic.
