Job Description:

The position is responsible for the ongoing portfolio management and monitoring of Bank of America’s Global Leasing Syndicated - Corporate, Commercial, Middle Market, Healthcare, Leveraged Finance, and Global Corporate Aircraft portfolios. Management and monitoring responsibilities will include lending/leasing relationships with exposures up to $100MM+ that are assigned risk ratings the equivalent of regulatory Pass, Criticized, and Classified categories. High Net Worth Individual and international accounts may also be included.

Responsibilities:

  • The Leasing Credit Sr. Officer will act as the primary liaison and subject matter expert between Leasing Credit Officers and Leasing’s investors on transactions that are syndicated or participated with other 3rd party financial institutions.

  • Coordinate between all parties on post-close credit actions to assure consistency, that proper documentation has been executed, and that such actions are otherwise successfully resolved.

  • Listed as the primary Credit Officer for a portfolio of closed syndicated and/or participated transactions, and tasked with the day-to-day portfolio monitoring responsibilities of those deals.

  • Determine appropriate obligor and facility risk ratings through ongoing review of client financial statements, covenant compliance, monitoring of news articles and other early warning alerts, as well as through interaction with Risk Management Officers, Marketing Officers, SAG Officers, Legal, Equipment Management Officers and Credit Underwriting Officers.

  • Handle ad-hoc credit-related requests for clients, including negotiating amendments and waivers to existing leases or loans.

  • Prepare periodic written credit reviews as required.

  • Manage multiple demands and priorities while maintaining organization, adherence to deadlines and compliance with policy.

  • Training and mentoring of more junior associates, as well as ownership of various Leasing processes.

  • Interact effective when Bank Partners when relationship exists, or when the relationship otherwise crosses business units (i.e. Special Assets)

  • Communicates with clients directly

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years’ experience in the commercial banking, leasing, or finance industry

  • 10+ years’ experience credit underwriting or portfolio management experience

  • 10+ years of significant credit and secured equipment finance knowledge and experience reviewing and negotiating legal documents.

  • 10+ years' experience identifying, anticipating and proactively addressing potential credit problems early in the process, including issuance of legal notices to clients and investors

Desired Qualification:

  • Prior experience in managing syndicated transactions.

  • Prior experience with high risk Criticized/Classified Exposures

  • Proficient in Moody's CreditLens - Financial Statement Spreading
