About the role:
The Director Digital Learning is responsible for developing and maintaining the learning ecosystem, designing and managing the delivery of learning experiences. This role ensures that learning initiatives align with organizational goals and adapts to changing needs, contributing to Takeda's mission.
OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE:
Learning: Enhance DD&T’s organizational capabilities through a customized learning strategy. Develop an ecosystem of learning experiences with learning programs and leverage the latest trends in learning tools and technologies.
Talent Development: Enable future capabilities through a customized talent development strategy. Develop talent programs aligned to business objectives to enable leadership capabilities for the future.
Digital Dexterity: Enable digital capabilities of people across Takeda through a strategy designed to build the skills now, needed for the future. Skills including those necessary to leverage the full potential of digital capabilities such as TechAI, GenAI, etc.
Accountabilities:
Develop & implement learning, talent development and digital dexterity strategies.
Design & oversee programs for learning, development and digital dexterity ensuring these enable the digital strategy.
Lead initiatives to:
Foster a learning culture providing for learning paths and related programs
Grow talent and develop leadership capabilities
Create digital dexterity product line
Standardization of platform learning methodologies and practices
Manage and co-ordinate learning programs across DD&T including ICCs, ensuring programs meet business needs.
This role will be a member of multiple senior level councils and program steering committees to help shape agendas, prioritize resource allocations and advocate for DD&T employees. These include the HR Talent Council, Takeda Governance Council (TGov), DD&T Talent Council, Global Learning Leaders, Integration/Acquisition/Divestures Core Team and Digital Workplace Council.
Maintain cross functional relationships with relevant parties to support the organizations goals. Collaborate with HR, Talent Development and other teams to meet DD&T’s objectives.
Provide methodologies, tools and templates to enable standardization of best practice within these disciplines across DD&T.
Maintain relevant programs (e.g. Learning)
Define and measure success metrics to monitor progress
Lead a dedicated team of practitioners, setting clear objectives, encouraging professional growth, and coaching them to establish a best in class learning and development capability.
This role encompasses both strategic leadership and execution of activities and services as required. Leading by example and setting high standards for teams across the DD&T organization.
Provide guidance on best practice as required.
Qualifications and Experience required :
Bachelor's degree in Learning, Development or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in related field, with a focus on technology or data-driven environments.
Expert in learning & development:
Instructional design and creation of effective learning materials.
Deep understanding of needs assessments and learning program analysis.
Experience in creating talent strategies and leading talent initiatives to enable a diverse workforce.
Experience in digital dexterity, digital fluency, driving adoption of emerging technologies through enablement and learning.
Strong problem-solving skills, able to identify and address challenges effectively in a dynamic environment.
Recognized expert in influencing others, with the ability to guide and motivate teams towards achieving strategic objectives.
Proficient in using Microsoft O365 applications to create impactful presentations and manage complex projects.
Skilled in developing and implementing effective strategies that align with organizational goals.
Effective at planning and managing work to ensure timely completion of projects.

U.S. Base Salary Range:
$169,400.00 - $266,200.00
The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives. U.S. based employees may be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, a tuition reimbursement program, paid volunteer time off, company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
