JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager, eCommerce & Analytics at Rocketbook plays a critical dual role in driving direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales and marketing efforts, website operations, as well as overall business analytics. This individual will manage the eCommerce platform (Shopify), oversee email marketing communications (Klaviyo), and support broader business decision-making through point-of-sale data analysis and reporting. The role requires a blend of creative marketing skills, analytical expertise, and operational oversight to drive business growth and efficiency. The role involves collaboration across teams and working with external agencies to ensure best-in-class digital and analytical practices. This position reports to the Head of Marketing with a dotted line into Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

D2C Website Management (35%)

• Own the D2C business on Shopify, including sales tracking, inventory management, and promotional strategies. Responsible for achieving D2C sales targets and marketing KPIs. Deliver regular reports & presentations to leadership on D2C business performance.

• Lead planning and execution of promotional strategies to drive sales and enhance consumer engagement & retention in coordination with Head of Business Development.

• Enhance website performance through SEO optimization, digital shelf management, and tech stack improvements, owning relationship with a web development agency for technical optimizations and collaborating with internal designer for creative updates.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain a seamless and engaging user experience for online shoppers that aligns with product launches, campaigns, and digital content strategies.

o Align with other key account managers on total business growth, promotional, and channel strategies.

o Work closely with Sr. Brand & Consumer Experience manager to gather channel insights and incorporate consumer feedback in D2C strategies.

• Ensure best in class brand experience on D2C website, conveying consistent Masterbrand messaging to push consumers down the funnel and clearly communicating product features and benefits.

• Implement and analyze A/B testing strategies and optimizations to improve conversion rates and retention.

• Support international expansion and alignment of D2C presence.

Email Marketing & Communications (30%)

• Own the end-to-end email marketing strategy using Klaviyo, from campaign creation to performance analysis, including ownership over agency partner relationships & output.

• Lead the development and optimization of triggered email flows to nurture consumer engagement, retention, and drive sales conversions.

• Spearhead CRM efforts, using data and insights to segment audiences and personalize communications effectively while also driving list growth.

• Manage overall communications calendar across channels, leading with email but connecting to social, blog, and paid media for events, promotions, and messaging.

• Monitor key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and revenue attribution to optimize campaign performance, as well as overall CRM health.

Business Analytics & Reporting (35%)

• Analyze point-of-sale (POS) data across all customers and channels to identify trends, opportunities, and actionable insights.

• Play an integral role supporting the sales team in preparing reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and marketing ROI to guide strategic decisions.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain leadership and peers with data-driven recommendations to achieve business objectives.

• Maintain dashboards and tools to track KPIs, ensuring transparency and availability of data. Drive continuous improvement in reporting tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

• Deliver strategic reports and present data and actionable insights to leadership, utilizing a data storytelling approach.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or a related role with some experience managing D2C websites, email marketing platforms, CRM strategies, and business analytics.

• Proficiency in Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, and other eCommerce tech tools.

• Digital native with familiarity with email marketing best practices, A/B testing, and campaign optimization as well as eCommerce best practices and tech stack.

• Strong analytical skills, ideally with experience interpreting POS data and creating actionable insights.

• Proven experience presenting data insights to leadership.

• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with consumer packaged goods (CPG) or direct-to-consumer retail.

• Knowledge of advanced data visualization tools and SQL is a plus.

• Demonstrated success in improving eCommerce performance and driving sales growth.
