Ford Credit is seeking a Director of Data, Risk, and AI Architecture to lead the evolution of our data and AI platforms. This high-impact role will shape the future of our data foundation including credit decisioning models, data pipelines, reporting and analytics tools, and AI frameworks. This leader will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive data strategy within a cloud environment, partnering closely with engineering, product, and business leaders to deliver innovative solutions that deliver demonstrable business value.
What you'll do...
Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive data architecture strategy aligning with Ford Credit's business objectives and driving innovation in credit decisioning. This includes data acquisition, storage, processing, governance, and access.
Define and champion the AI architecture roadmap, encompassing model development, deployment, monitoring, and governance. This includes promoting the adoption of cutting-edge AI/ML techniques and best practices.
Spearhead the migration and modernization of data platforms to a cloud environment, leveraging the capabilities of one or more major cloud vendors (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). This includes optimization for cost, performance, and scalability.
Oversee the design and implementation of robust data pipelines supporting our credit risk models and ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability.
Drive the selection and implementation of reporting and analytics tooling, empowering business users with actionable insights and data-driven decision-making.
Foster a culture of data-driven innovation across Ford Credit, educating and evangelizing the value of data and AI.
Build and manage a high-performing team of data and AI Architectus.
Collaborate effectively with senior leadership, business stakeholders, and technology partners to ensure alignment and successful execution of the data and AI strategy.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for data and AI related services and tools.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data architecture, AI, and cloud computing.
You'll have...
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
5+ years of experience leading AI/ML initiatives at scale, including model development, deployment, and monitoring.
Proven experience delivering a comprehensive data strategy in a cloud environment for a complex global organization.
Hands-on experience with one or more major cloud vendors (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Working knowledge of reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise business terms.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, including executive presence.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
15+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or a related field.
