We are seeking a highly skilled and self-driven Cloud Architect with a strong emphasis on networking and system administration, particularly within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge, along with the ability to architect and implement complex cloud solutions, leveraging their extensive experience in OCI, networking, and system administration.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect and Implement Cloud Solutions: Design and build robust cloud architectures on OCI, focusing on networking, storage, and system administration to solve complex customer challenges.

• Network Design and Optimization: Influence the design, capacity planning, and performance tuning of networking components within OCI to ensure scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

• System Administration: Manage and optimize system resources, including operating systems, middleware, and databases, to maintain high availability and performance in OCI environments.

• Customer Interaction: Serve as the technical point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on network architecture and system administration during escalations and critical situations.

• Cloud Monitoring and Management: Leverage Oracle Cloud Observability and Management technologies to create comprehensive monitoring solutions, including the development of dashboards and alerts for proactive system management.

• High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR): Design and implement HA/DR solutions tailored to customer needs, ensuring business continuity and resilience in OCI deployments.

• Technical Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and Oracle best practices.

• Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize tools like Ansible and Terraform to automate cloud deployments, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

• Minimum 10 years of experience architecting solutions for large enterprise systems, with a strong focus on cloud technologies.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including networking, storage, and system administration.

• Proven expertise in Oracle products, including SaaS applications (ERP, WMS, HCM), Oracle Fusion Middleware, and Oracle Databases.

• Proficiency in cloud deployment tools such as Ansible and Terraform, with a solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

• Strong scripting skills in Unix/Linux Shell, Perl, Ansible, and Python.

• Experience with Java and SQL programming is highly desirable.

• Technical Skills:

• Deep understanding of cloud networking, including VCN design, subnet management, security lists, and load balancing in OCI.

• Strong background in system administration, particularly in managing Unix/Linux environments and Oracle technologies.

• Knowledge of HA/DR strategies, including implementation and management in cloud environments.

• Soft Skills:

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying technical solutions to both executive and technical stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to addressing customer needs and system performance issues.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
