This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, staff position.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Two (2) years of work experience as a computer technician administering computer-based tests.
A minimum of two (2) years customer service related experience required.
Credentials required by each testing service must be earned and maintained.
Ability to communicate with candidates effectively and with professionalism and authority
Ability to learn and apply operational and maintenance instructions and other job documents
Ability to make decisions using appropriate situational judgement
Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence
Ability to multi-task, handle small tools, and pack equipment for shipping or unpack for installation
Familiar with Microsoft Windows-based computer programs and applications (including but not limited to MS Office, Outlook, Explorer-web browsing)
Should be flexible during days and evenings on various days and times subject to change according to demand of testing
Must meet requirements necessary to obtain a pass to Barksdale Air Force Base.
Valid driver’s license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.
Ability to perform periodic walk-throughs every 5-7 minutes during testing.

Job Concepts
The Testing Coordinator (TC) manages most testing operations including scheduling, registrations, documentation and test delivery of workforce, academic, credit-by-examination, distance education proctoring, high school equivalency testing (HiSet), and DANTES-funded testing services at BPCC’s Testing Center and BPCC’s Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB) National Test Center (NTC). The TC also manages technical aspects and resolves problems related to computer-based exam administration; advises an
d assists vendor and in-house computer technicians in troubleshooting, upgrading and maintenance of lab hardware and software and perform updates as needed; and evaluates feasibility and oversee implementation and maintenance of additional test services.
Examples of Work
Manage most testing operations including scheduling, registrations, documentation and test delivery of workforce, academic, credit-by-examination, distance education proctoring, high school equivalency testing (HiSet), and DANTES-funded testing services at BPCC’s Testing Center and BPCC’s Barksdale Air Force Base (BAFB) National Test Center (NTC).
Manage technical aspects and resolve problems related to computer-based exam administration. Advise and assist vendor and in-house computer technicians in troubleshooting, upgrading and maintenance of lab hardware and software and perform updates as needed. Evaluate feasibility and oversee implementation and maintenance of additional test services.
Adhere to all ID verification guidelines set forth by testing service companies.
Complete all required paperwork for examinees and verify correct at end of each shift.
Maintain departmental database.
Supervise test candidates, observing proper testing procedures as specified by each testing company from candidate’s arrival until completion of each exam.
Manage and deliver distance education exams in accordance with National College Testing Association’s (NCTA) Consortium of College Testing Centers (CCTC) policies and procedures.
Perform administrative duties during Director’s absence.
Assist Director with administration of grants.
Work flexible schedule at multiple campuses as needed including occasional evenings and Saturdays.
