Conference Service Manager assists Sales and Operations in obtaining customer satisfaction by leading event and group servicing management. Coordinate all aspects of conferences to include but not limited to: food and beverage requirements, timing of events, audiovisual requirements, special attention to guests, room type allocation, rooming list, amenities, function room set up, group transportation, type of check in, check out, special meal requests, arrival/departure manifests, bag pulls, luggage storage, complimentary rooms, billing instructions, authorized signatures, room deliveries, telephone and internet requirements, box storage and delivery, power requirements, key requirements, expected food and beverage outlet usage, group hospitality/office/registration desk requirements, business center requirements, entertainment, leisure activities, dcor.

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Live! Casino and Hotel Louisiana departmental policies and procedures.
  • Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
  • Ensure all functions have secured sufficient payment based on standard method of payment SOP.
  • Send all after event receipts and final billing to clients.
  • Serve as sole contact for assigned definite groups.
  • Call for all final headcounts and upselling opportunities.
  • Optimize room rental charges and effectively upsell food and beverage, audio visual, and hotel services.
  • Monitor group room blocks and pick up, generate detailed resumes for the operating departments.
  • Conduct hotel site inspections and client presentations as needed.
  • Consistently participate in the re-booking of repeat business.
  • Prepare resumes for groups prior to group arrival and review all details in BEO Meeting.
  • Adhere to selling policies as set forth by leadership.
  • Participate in all meetings as directed by leadership.
  • Provide innovative set-ups, menus, and functions for groups. Ability to generate creative and innovative menus while working closely with Chef on pricing specialty menus.
  • Work closely with banquet department on operations and event execution, ability to quickly evaluate alternatives and decide on a plan of action.
  • Provide overall direction, coordination, and ongoing evaluation of operations. Detailed execution of all banquet event orders.
  • Ability to work with outside vendors to ensure client satisfaction for all events/groups
  • Remain available to hotel managers while on property.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must-Haves:

  • Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years event management, food industry or hotel experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Delphi FDC preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Knowledge of Social T bles is preferred.
  • You will be exposed to an alcohol and smoking environment and must be able to work in such environment.
  • Must have the ability to secure and maintain licensure as required by Louisiana Gaming Control Board or any other applicable regulatory entity as may be required to perform assigned duties, or as required by Lives operating standards.
