We are looking for:
The HSE Engineer provides direction, oversight and interaction of the day-to-day safety and compliance of operations. The selected candidate will interact directly with site personnel to ensure that our health, safety, and environmental related activities are carried out in strict compliance with local, state and federal rules and Syensqo HSE standards.
We count on you for:
The key functions of the Process Safety Engineer is to support specific site and project needs and ensure that best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and an improved safety culture and performance is delivered.
Provides HSE technical support, guidance and compliance
Conduct internal audits of site HSE programs to determine compliance and or the need for program changes.
Monitor, oversee and ensure compliance for all Process Safety and HSE program areas.
Revise Health and Safety policies as a result of changes to internal and external regulations as well as continuous improvement to the site safety program.
Enforce company policies and procedures.
Coordinate and conduct internal training activities for site Employees as required.
Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) for the site.
Site Radiation Safety Specialist and Security Coordinator
Serve as site Product Steward, reviewing any new chemicals brought on to site and reviewing current chemical inventory
Travel 0-5%, as needed

You will bring:
1-5 years experience in a PSM or Engineering position
BS in Chemical Engineering or Engineering Discipline
Experience working at chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical facility
Working Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Process Hazard Analysis
Working knowledge of Safety and Health government standards
HSE knowledge of chemical safety processes
Proven track record of supporting/driving significant organizational change towards HSE performance.
Facilitate Management of Change activities in the manufacturing processes
Commitment to Continuous ImprovementStrong Communication & Leadership skills
