Prepare, season and cook dishes such as soups, meats, vegetables, or desserts. Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices. Ensure food is cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Season and cook food according to recipes. Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods. Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits, and vegetables to prepare them for consumption. Carve and trim meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for hot or cold service, or for sandwiches. Must have 6 months of experience as a line cook.
Employer will offer a minimum of 35 hours per week. Open 7-days a week (holidays included). Shifts: 6:00am - 1:30 pm; 2:00 pm - 9:30 pm; 3:00 pm - 10:30 pm; 11:00 am - 6:30 pm; 4:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Workers will be paid no less than \$19.00 per hour. Wage range of \$19.00 to \$25.00 per hour. Overtime wage will be paid no less than \$28.50 per hour. Overtime wage range of \$28.50 to \$37.50. Overtime is available but is not guaranteed. Paid weekly. Employer will use single workweek (Saturday to Friday) as standard for computing wages due.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Employer will make all deductions from workers paycheck required by law; and optional employee housing. Workers have the option to live in Employer provided housing. Workers living in Employer provided housing will have daily transportation to and from the worksite. Employer will deduct rent from workers pay-check weekly. Onsite Dorm housing \$70/week for a single, \$50/double & \$40/week for a triple in the Dorms. Offsite housing at 78 Crest Ave, Boothbay Harbor, ME 04538 \$165/week for apartment for 1 person, \$130 per week for apartment for 2 person occupancy and \$90 per week for 3 person occupancy. Daily transportation is provided for off-site housing.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12 week period of the total employment period.
Employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. If the worker doesnt use employer arranged/paid for transportation, employer will reimburse the worker for any transportation costs incurred in the 1st work week. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59 per day with receipts.
