Accrued time is available to use immediately! Position: The Quality Engineer II is responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and directing all aspects of the Quality department. This role is responsible for implementing and utilizing the AS 9100, ISO 9001-2000, NADCAP, and compliant Quality Management Systems to ensure that our products are manufactured to meet the dimensions, specifications, quality, and any other features or requirements specified by our customers. The role is responsible for driving the continuous improvement of customer feedback, management, manufacturing, and supply chain processes. The Quality Engineer will: Perform inspections and set quality assurance testing models to analyze raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. Assist in developing quality control policies and evaluates production limitations. Implement NPI, APQP, and work instructions for QC inspections. Experienced with GD&T and RCCA. Submits Engineering Changes. Leads CI events. Requires a bachelor's degree. Gains exposure & contributes to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Work is occasionally directed but fairly independent and collaborative in nature. Typically requires 3 to 7 years of related experience. Works with customers, program managers, and engineering staff to develop techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing company products to meet customer requirements. Responsible for developing and implementing inspection, test, and calibration operations and supporting customer, regulatory, and compliance audits. Oversees analysis of material or product defects, production processes, and customer requirements/specifications to recommend or implement modifications in products and/or quality standards where appropriate, including implementing work instructions. Manages product deviation requests and other customer quality notifications. Supports and continually improves the Quality Management System. Partners with engineering to manage the document control process. Establishes effective communication channels that ensure the flow of quality-related information to and from vendors, customers, management, and other departments. Identifies and develops quality metrics as needs arise. Assists in developing strategic and tactical plans to ensure the achievement of company and departmental goals. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systems. Knowledge of GD&T and RCCA. Knowledge of lean concepts. Ability to understand and solve problems.
