We are looking for an Apprentice within the Smart Infrastructure BU area who will be trained in Bologna in 2 years as an Automation Software Engineer.

During the apprenticeship you will receive a comprehensive and state-of-the- art training to develop your personal and professional skills and you will have the support of a mentor to achieve your career steps

Your Challenge

As an Automation Software Engineer some of your main activities will be:

  • Application of IT principles regarding Networking, VPN, Firewall, Cybersecurity.

  • Application of Virtualization (e.g., VMware, EverRun), Remote Connection.

  • Application of infrastructure knowledge (e.g., SAN, SERVER, etc.).

  • Learning to program supervision systems that control field equipment.

  • Providing support services using remote connections to customer systems.

  • Interaction with the Project Manager to gather information necessary for software development.

  • Providing operational assistance and application support.

  • Diagnosing, clarifying, and resolving technical problems.

  • Clarifying events, analyzing trace and diagnostic information, providing information on findings to solve the issue, and providing guidance for the next steps

Required entry qualifications:

  • You are under 29 years old and have obtained a Secondary School Diploma in IT or similar. A degree in IT considered a plus.

  • IT-related knowledge or little experience in networking, VPN, Firewall, Cybersecurity, Virtualization, Remote Connection is preferred.

  • Proficiency in English and Italian

  • Team player ability, strong communication & interpersonal skills;

  • Ability to work in a changing environment

  • Passion to never-stop growing

  • Respect and appreciation of each person’s uniqueness, willingness to co create andshare knowledge

  • Eligibility to work in Italy
