Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator will participate on a tightly integrated team responsible for the operational maintenance of multiple Azure Environments, Windows file, web, and database servers, VMware infrastructure, and Microsoft Active Directory as well as software delivery via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, patching, and monitoring systems. The systems administrator may be required to work an overnight/early morning shift schedule to support our European employees.
Your Key Responsibilities
Maintenance of Azure environments including virtual machines, networking, storage, virtual desktops, and more
Ensure continuous security vigilance by monitoring systems, identifying potential threats, and implementing proactive measures to safeguard company assets.
Maintain administration of AD, file shares, and user account permissions
Manage the corporate network, including firewalls, DNS, DHCP, etc.
Provide documentation and guidance in addition to communicate clearly and effectively with service delivery and customer support teams
Maintain backup routines and troubleshoots issues
Create, update, and close all escalated incident tickets in a timely manner
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Intermediate knowledge of MS Azure, VMware, MS SharePoint, and Windows servers, MS System Center as well as power shell scripting is preferable
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio required. System documentation ability
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record and ability to travel to various office locations around the country
Pre-employment drug screen required
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Computer Science or related field from a technical school required
Minimum of three (3) years of IT/IS experience; at least two years working with network technologies in a Wide Area Network environment
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with remote management technologies, LANs, WANs, data center environments, power management, email, MS Teams, Video Conferencing, spam & virus control, web filtering, wireless networking, group policies, DFS, and BCP/DR standards
Certification/Registration: Network , AZ-900, MCSA, MCSE and/or VCP/VCAP preferred
Minimum of two years of Microsoft Azure experience including setup, configuration, networking, and monitoring. Azure Associate (or higher) level certification preferred

Pay transparency laws require employers to provide the following information for positions that may be in the following jurisdiction(s):
Salary Range(s):
- $84,500 - $122,400 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in CO and HI and MD
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
