Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Accountant in Boise. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all project-related financial activities. This role requires close collaboration with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to maintain financial integrity and support project success.

Responsibilities:

• Manage project accounting, including setting up jobs, tracking budgets, and ensuring accurate payroll coding in ERP systems.

• Prepare and oversee certified payroll reporting, lien waivers, and subcontractor payment applications for compliance.

• Take initiative in completing project requirements, supporting the team through challenges, and meeting deadlines.

• Reconcile cost accounts, review change orders, and manage the project closeout process, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Exhibit strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Demonstrate teamwork, maintain confidentiality, and show ownership of responsibilities from start to finish.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of construction accounting required

• Understanding of construction project management processes and terminology.

• Familiarity with cost accounting and job costing principles.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
