At Micron Technology, Inc., we are looking for a highly motivated and dedicated engineer with a strong focus on DTCO (Design Technology Co-Optimization) to join our team in Boise, ID, USA. This position offers a chance to work on advanced technologies and make valuable contributions to the development of world-class memory and storage solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • As part of the DTCO team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring node to node area scaling through standard cell architecture development. Your responsibilities will include accounting for transistor and interconnect models, and ensuring that our products meet power-performance-area-cost (PPAC) requirements.

  • You will collaborate closely with design rules modeling teams, process integration teams, and design teams to establish area and power-performance requirements. Your expertise will guide performance improvement and area/power reduction from a technology perspective.

  • You will develop and maintain metrics addressing product level PPAC and benchmark these metrics for each new PDK release.

  • Additionally, you may be involved in the design of test structures addressing PPAC and the implementation of new DTCO projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience and a solid understanding of semiconductor technology, semiconductor device physics, compact modeling, design rules, and logic, analog circuit analysis, and circuit design skills.

  • You are a self-motivated individual with excellent teamwork skills, thriving in a collaborative environment.

  • You possess excellent analytical, analysis, and problem-solving skills.

  • You are adaptable to a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with wide-ranging demands.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts in verbal and written form.

Education and Experience:

  • B.S., M.S., or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields, or equivalent experience.

  • If you have a B.S. degree or equivalent experience, you should have at least 5 years of work experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in a Design-Technology Co-Optimization role.
