This position will be based out of our global R&D headquarters in Boise, ID and will require relocation to the area if necessary. As a lead engineer, you will be part of a revolutionary Advanced DRAM research & development wet etch team. The position promises ample opportunities for innovation, collaboration and testing a new dimension with Advanced DRAM. You and your process team will work directly with process integration and other process areas such as Dry Etch, Metals, CVD, Diffusion, Lithography & CMP. You will work on state of the art and outstanding wet etch tooling & own the process roadmap to meet program and yield goals.

Expectations for this role include, but not limited to:

  • Program : Set plan to meet process requirement on tech-node schedule. Set plan for long-term (final) process flow (conversion plan, key decision points and timelines, etc). Lead meeting discussions and represent the section in meetings.

  • Planning/Budget : Influences budgeting decision for a work-unit, function, or department program. Ensures work unit milestones and goals are achieved, technical solution, or product.

  • Roadmap : Participates in the roadmap process as a technology SME.

  • Supplier/Vendor: Engage and develop relationships with suppliers to ensure technology acceleration projects are on schedule.

  • Impact/Scope : Make decisions that impact the achievement of technical solution and product objectives.

  • Network : Work closely with Tech Dev cross functional groups.

  • People/ORG : Establish and demonstrate leadership fundamentals: Attract & retain the best technology employees in the world. Frequently meet with team members and adapt communication style to the individual. Have effective performance conversations and career discussions in collaboration with each team member. Build stretch opportunities for team members beyond current capabilities or role. Understand team member satisfaction and engagement, identify improvement opportunities and resolve. Provide real time feedback on interactions, technical development, Micron values, etc. Encourage culture team member recognition, inside and outside of your team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, material science or an equivalent field is required.

Education:

  • MS/PhD Degree in a related field (required)

  • Suitable experience includes (1) research done during pursuit of a PhD and 2 years of relevant industry experience (2) issuance of a master’s degree and 5 years of relevant industry experience (3) issuance of a bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Industry experience must be in semiconductor process development, preferably in a R&D environment.

  • Experience in DRAM or Memory is preferred.
