JOB SUMMARY:

The Grove Hotel Catering and Event Manager oversees all aspects of event planning and execution, with a particular focus on catering services acting as the liaison between the clients desires and the appropriate hotel departments. This role includes client consultation, menu planning, logistics coordination, budgeting, and team management. The goal is to ensure flawless execution, customer satisfaction, and adherence to quality standards. This position requires excellent organizational skills, flexibility, and a passion for hospitality and customer service.

  • Meet with clients to discuss event details, including theme, size, budget, and menu preferences.
  • Develop event timelines, floor plans, audiovisual needs, and schedules to ensure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate with clients on event logistics, including setup, teardown, equipment, and staffing needs.
  • Work with chefs and culinary teams to create customized menus based on client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event themes.
  • Collaborate with the banquet team on equipment, tables, linens, and decor as needed for events.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality standards. Track and report on costs, revenue, and profitability for each event.
  • Develop creative solutions with various resources to create unique and lasting experiences for guests
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the planning process and during the event.
  • Resolve any issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in marketing efforts, such as attending industry events and trade shows, to promote services.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Business/Hospitality/Marketing Degree, certification or experience equaling education.
  • 2+ years of catering/event or hospitality experience.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in event planning software, MS Office, and catering management tools.Ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Participation in community and property events, leadership groups, and organizations as needed or directed.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
