Job Title: Electrical Designer

Job Description

This position involves working with a large architectural and engineering service firm, where you will be responsible for the complete electrical design packet for commercial projects. These projects include sectors such as Commercial, Education, Government, Healthcare, Mixed-use, and Retail. You will take the initial intake of prototype packets from owners and utilize Revit for designing power systems. Additionally, you will collaborate with drafting support and assist with quality control for final reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Develop complete electrical design packets for commercial projects.

  • Utilize Revit for power system design.

  • Collaborate with drafting support teams.

  • Assist with quality control for final design reviews.

  • Support design work in partnership with architectural designers, engineers, and business professionals.

Essential Skills

  • 3-5 years of experience in building electrical systems (Commercial, Education, Government, Healthcare, Mixed-use, Retail).

  • 3-5 years of Revit design experience.

  • Previous experience in electrical systems layout (power or lighting), electrical design, and Revit.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with voltage calculations, photometrics, or fault analyses.

  • Proficiency in MS Suite, Revit, and Bluebeam.

  • Familiarity with national electric codes and energy codes.

  • Experience with lighting control systems.

  • Experience in MEP consulting or electrical contracting.

  • Educational qualifications: Open to AA and BS Degrees.
