Join the Design Readiness Engineering team at Micron Technology as a problem solver who enjoys circuit debugging. This is a highly collaborative position with a global cross-functional team.

You will manage design, debug and production support engineering for a specific product or group of products during the introduction and volume production of Micron’s latest DRAM products. This position interfaces with design, process, test and reliability engineering to ensure the success of cutting-edge memory technologies.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Prepare for Initial Tapeout for New DRAM Products:

  • Work with Design Engineering and run simulations

  • Provide feedback on lessons learned

  • Work with Process Integration Engineering (PIE)

  • Create and maintain design documentation

  • Complete critical pre-silicon preparation tasks

  • Create Silicon Validation plans for upcoming designs

Coordinate Post Tapeout Preparation for Silicon:

  • Work with Manufacturing teams to ensure resources are available (Probe cards, substrates, package part trays, tester handler kits, etc.)

  • IdentifyPE Lab equipment needs

  • Identify and validate PE Lab equipment

  • Work with Test and Probe and product engineering to modify programs for specific product requirements (Micromate)

  • Manage the development of test methods for new circuit changes

Ensure that Silicon Meets Product Expectations:

  • Extract and analyze Probe and Test Parametric data

  • Debug and identify root cause for critical design failures. Implement short-term and long termmitigations

  • Work with Quality Assurance (QA) Teams on customer returns

  • Work with QA to ensure reliability

Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing and Marketing:

  • Create and deliver presentations

  • Participate in meetings (status updates, Fab, Design teams, etc)

  • Troubleshoot, develop or validate device testing programs

  • Evaluate data sheets and provide feedback to Application Engineers

  • Prioritize work with other groups

Qualifications

If you have a passion for engineering and want to join a dynamic team, this is the opportunity for you. We are looking for a qualified engineer with the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related fields.

  • Simulation and analysis of digital and analog circuits and memory devices.

  • Data processing and analysis using python, excel or Tableau is required.

  • Verilog experience is preferred.

  • Waveform analysis tools is a plus.

  • Computer programming experience is ideal (Unix, Python, C or C++).

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Office.

  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy.

  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects effectively.

  • A passion for problem solving and complex debug
