Description

We are offering contract employment opportunity for a meticulous Deductions Analyst in Boise, Idaho, who can apply their proficiency in Accounting Functions, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Accounting Software Systems to our team. As a Deductions Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to handle and resolve deductions and billbacks, ensuring the legitimacy of each case.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out comprehensive analysis of backup documentation for deductions/billbacks to ascertain their legitimacy.

• Proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies related to chargebacks that could include issues such as price variances and trade promotions.

• Organize and forward deductions for approval, process approved deductions to the appropriate general ledger accounts, and chargeback denied deductions to the customer.

• Promptly follow up on all pending documentation requests, approval requests, and payback requests for illegitimate deductions.

• Collaborate with the Sales Team to classify authorized deduction categorization accurately.

• Identify necessary follow-up activities to resolve unauthorized open deductions promptly; these may include instances such as damaged products, short pays, or accruals for approved deductions.

• Regularly report the status of deductions to the management team.

Requirements • Proficiency in handling Accounting Functions is mandatory.

• Must have strong skills in Microsoft Excel, for handling and analyzing data.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, for effective communication.

• Experience with Accounting Software Systems is a must for efficient workflow.

• Strong research skills to resolve discrepancies and validate deductions.
