Advanced Utility Solutions Project Manager
POWER’s Advanced Utility Solutions (AUS) team is seeking Project Managers to join our team of industry experts as we continue building the digital utility of the future! We are looking for asset management practitioners, GIS software implementors and utility operations professionals that can use their expertise to design, develop and deploy asset management solutions for our industry leading clients.
Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
The Advanced Utility Solutions (AUS) Project Manager will have the following roles and responsibilities:
Manage a wide variety of software implementation projects for POWER’s utility clients.
Manage project delivery team to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Coordinate all tasks during project life cycle with customer project manager.
Provide outstanding customer service to our clients.
Facilitate project workshops and meetings.
Ensure the quality of project deliverables.
Provide technical consulting services as needed for our projects.
Provide high quality (and timely) written and oral communications both internally and with clients.
Participate in strategic business unit initiatives and help to improve business unit processes, procedures, templates and guidelines.
Participate in business development activities as needed.
Mentor and motivate junior-level team members as needed.
Facilitate and support seamless interaction and cooperation among network of work groups/project teams.
Participate in balancing workloads for team resources.
Required Education/Experience:
The AUS Project Manager must have the following education, experience, skills and knowledge:
Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in GIS, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, other technical science degree, or equivalent work experience.
5+ years of GIS-centric experience managing software services projects either as a professional services consultant or as an employee of a utility company or municipal government.
5+ years of experience with Microsoft’s office suite, including Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
Project implementation lifecycle experience (Requirements, Design, Development, Testing, Training, and Deployment) and familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
A proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
Must have professional, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requires strong time management skills including the ability to multi-task on various projects and priorities under fixed schedules.
Must have demonstrated success at leading teams and influencing decision-makers to assure achievement of goals and successful adoption of solutions.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Preferred Education/Experience:
It is advantageous for the applicant to have the following experience, skills and knowledge:
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) certification or equivalent experience
Asset Management Professional (AMP) or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) certification or equivalent experience
Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Server Object Extensions, ArcObjects, and ArcFM Solutions.
Experience with one or more Asset Management system such as Trimble Unity, Maximo, Lucity, Infor or Cartegraph.
Experience with one or more permitting systems such as Trimble Unity, Accela, CityView, EnerGov, TRAKiT
Experience with one or more digital utility design systems such as SBS AUD, GIS DDS
Experience with one or more Advance Distribution Management Systems (ADMS) suites from Schneider Electric or GE.
Experience with Microsoft’s Team Foundation Server / Azure DevOps
Experience with cloud (SaaS) strategy, data strategy, business intelligence, managed services, consulting staff management, and technical team management.
Experience with Organizational Change Management Planning and Process Execution
Experience with Vendor Negotiations / Contracts
Experience with Stakeholder Management / Negotiation

Salary DOE: The pay range for this position is $114K-$150K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
