Are you ready to be a vital part of the team shaping the future of Idaho's transportation system? The Idaho Transportation Department is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at our headquarters in Boise, Idaho!

As a key player in the DMV, you'll be helping to support our mission of delivering exceptional service to Idaho's motorists, county sheriffs, assessors, and other stakeholders. You'll be at the core of a fast-paced operation, supporting DMV teams in areas ranging from driver’s licenses and vehicle registrations to legal permits and Ports of Entry, all while ensuring we deliver top-notch service to our community with accuracy and efficiency.

This exciting role will have you involved in a variety of essential tasks—whether it's pulling budget reports, managing accounts payable, coordinating office supplies, supporting business travel, or helping with timesheets. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES

  • Provide support to sections within DMV;

  • General office coordination of activities;

  • Track and order supplies;

  • Compile information from a variety of sources for division and section projects and/or reports;

  • Assist with timesheets, interviews, and new employee arrangements;

  • Schedule and coordinate logistics for meetings and conferences;

  • Respond to inquiries and explain department services, policies, procedures, and rationale for decisions to customers;

  • Monitor budget reports and and process invoices.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    Good knowledge of:

  • Office support functions including word processing, filing, composing a variety of business documents and reception;

  • gathering and compiling data;

  • balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects.

    Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer services skills.

  • Detail oriented.

  • Desire to work as part of a team and collaborate.

  • Ability to multi-task with multiple interruptions.
