People's Arc of Suffolk Sr Human Resources Generalist in Bohemia, New York
Pull Business Intelligence (BI) reports from HRIS system and and manipulate data to create and organize reports.
Oversees support to programs in performance management processes and reports to director all updates.
Maintains employee changes by processing all requests within the HRIS and file system.
Creates and compiles various reports from database as requested.
Drives employees understanding of benefit programs by regularly generating communications and supporting employees as situations arise.
Acts as liaison with various insurance carriers and fosters effective relationships with client representatives.
Keeps management advised of potential problem areas; recommends/implements solutions as appropriate.
Oversees leave of absence management, including employee and vendor support.
Creates and maintains all employee FMLA, PFL, disability and Workers Comp case files within assigned programs.
Creates and presents training for related to Human Resources related topics, including New Staff Orientation.
Tracks completion of performance evaluations within assigned programs and supports managers on process.
Requirements Must meet one of the below requirements
Bachelors degree in human resources, business or applicable field plus 5 years experience OR
Associates degree plus 7 years experience
5+ years of experience using a Human Resource Management System (HRIS) is required; UKG Pro and Workforce Management preferred.
Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations
Experience in the administration of benefits/compensation programs and other Human Resources programs
Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications
Must be able to display a high level of discretion and understand the sensitive nature of confidential employee information with superior emotional intelligence.
Must be able to travel to various program sites, as needed.
