A lrading manufacturer in the Petroleum / Petrochemical industry is looking for a qualified, experienced CNC Lathe Operator for their 2nd shift. As a CNC Lathe Operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process by setting up and operating computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery. Your attention to detail and ability to work with various materials will contribute to the production of high-quality parts and components.

salary: $56,000 - $63,000 per year

shift: Second

work hours: 3:30 PM - 12 AM

education: Bachelors

Responsibilities

• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)

• Program, setup and run CNC work centers, Lathes(Mori-Seiki Y axis is a plus).

• Able to develop and write programs for the CNC lathe, working from prints, CAPS (Mori) a plus.

• Programs lathes, set tool offsets and compensation.

• Hold close tolerance of +/-.0005

• Verifies setting by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces; adhering to international standards.

• Able to edit existing programs as necessary.

• Capable to input programs into CNC from PC

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations

• Monitor tools during operation for wear and breakage.

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• wearing steel toe shoes

• manual lifting up to 75lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 4 hrs of overtime per week
