Medtronic Project Manager - Commercial Transformation in Bogotá, Colombia

A Day in the Life

Would you like to be part of the global commercial transformation and operations organization as we transform the way we contract with our customers? You will enjoy autonomy and accountability as we transform the process, technology, analytics and measurement of our contracting process. Frequent engagement with senior management will enable visibility to your work.

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager specializing in planning, process design, and process improvement to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in the US Pricing and Contracting Team. The Project Manager will be responsible for identifying, planning, and executing process changes to drive continuous improvement. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage change in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Analysis: Assess current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the pricing and contracting process with customers. Use data-driven analysis to support recommendations for process changes.

  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans for process improvement initiatives, including scope, timeline, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

  • Change & Communication Management: Lead the implementation of process changes, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal disruption to operations. Communicate changes effectively to all stakeholders.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather input, align objectives, and gain buy-in for process changes. Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries.

  • Training and Support: Develop training materials and provide support to employees to ensure successful adoption of new processes. Monitor the effectiveness of training and make adjustments as necessary.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks associated with process changes and develop strategies to mitigate them. Monitor the progress of projects and take corrective actions as needed.

  • Continuous Improvement: Establish metrics to measure the success of process changes and identify opportunities for further improvement. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, including key milestones, risks, opportunities, and ROI, to senior management.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field with minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management with a focus on process improvement or change management.

  • Proven track record of successfully implementing process changes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Proficiency in process mapping and project management tools (e.g., Visio, Smartsheets, Microsoft Project).

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to influence and manage change in a complex organization.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.

  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.
