Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will be responsible for overseeing the Configuration Management Program.. You will be responsible for the planning, implementing, and monitoring of Configuration Management (CM) strategies and processes within the product lifecycle. You will be responsible for maintaining configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of software baselines. You will be at the central point of daily operations for the command and for the entire enterprise network. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Analyzing customer requirements; developing specifications for new or modified systems; planning, analyzing, developing, implementing, maintenance and enhancement of information systems security program policies, procedures and tools. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Identifying and analyzing network data for threats or reportable significance and providing assistance with updating the organization's systems security contingency plans and disaster recovery procedures. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing advice and guidance in implementing IT security procedures in the development of policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Navy systems, networks, and data. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Applying new methods to resolve complex and intricate, controversial, or unprecedented issues and problems, and resolves conflicts that arise. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, Applicant must have one year of qualifying experience, qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by: 1) Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of systems administration services. 2) Utilizing enterprise network management tools such as RedSeal, Solar Winds, MEMS, or other similar tools. 3) Applying a wide range of information technology and cyber concepts, principles, and network configurations and architectures to identify and resolve complex problems; 4) Installing, testing and configuring network systems and preparing and updating operating procedures and recommending changes in methods and practices; 5) Monitoring and troubleshooting system availability and developing backup procedures and recovery systems in the event of hardware or software failure.
