Description

We are seeking a Staff Accountant for our client in Boca Raton.. In this role, you will perform a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing and reviewing general ledger accruals, performing bank reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further their career in the accounting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately prepare and review general ledger accruals

• Perform bank to general ledger reconciliations in a timely manner

• Record cash transactions through prepared bank entries

• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations

• Prepare, review, and submit journal entries

• Maintain monthly recurring and prepaid entries

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations

• Support the team during month-end close procedures

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements

• Assist with the preparation of documentation to facilitate audits

• Act as a back-up to other accounting team members as needed

• Execute additional duties as assigned

• Utilize advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of GAAP Standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.

• Experience with accounting software is a plus.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
