Job Title:

Field Technician / Door and Window Measurement Specialist

Summary:

This role is responsible for accurately measuring doors and windows at customer job sites and conducting thorough site inspections to ensure successful installations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong understanding of construction practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Site Visits: Travel to customer homes or commercial properties to assess and measure door and window openings.
• Accurate Measurement: Utilize measuring tools (tape measures, etc.) to obtain precise measurements of width, height, depth, and other relevant dimensions.
• Documentation: Record all measurements and relevant site information clearly and accurately in provided forms or digital applications.
• Photography: Capture clear photographs of the job site, including existing doors/windows, surrounding areas, and any potential installation challenges.
• Site Inspections: Evaluate job sites for potential installation issues such as obstructions, wall conditions, and accessibility.
• Communication: Effectively communicate findings and any concerns to the installation team, and project managers.
• Customer Interaction: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers on-site.
• Schedule Adherence: Manage appointments efficiently and arrive punctually for scheduled site visits.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Preferably, 5 years' experience installing windows and doors.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using measuring tools and comfortable with basic construction terminology.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift moderate weight.
• Valid Driver's License: Clean driving record and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using smartphones or tablets for data entry and communication.
• Must be able to pass a background check

Nice to Have:

• Experience with specific window and door brands or installation methods.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Familiarity with CRM software.
