We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and evaluating manufacturing methods, providing technical support, and implementing solutions to improve quality and productivity while maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
Develop and evaluate manufacturing methods.
Use a hands-on approach to develop and implement solutions to manufacturing problems and improvements in manufacturing methods.
Analyze and troubleshoot production equipment based on technical drawings and mechanical evaluations.
Provide training to operators, setup persons, manufacturing technicians, and manufacturing engineering technicians to improve technical abilities.
Interface with all levels in the organization using verbal, written, and graphical communication tools to ensure efficient production methods.
Design and document tooling designs on drawings that communicate tooling requirements to toolmakers using CAD software or manual charted drawings.
Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layouts of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Confer with vendors to determine product specifications, arrange for the purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluate products according to specifications and quality standards.
Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Confer with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential, including machine capability studies.
Plan, implement, and track capital and non-capital cost reduction projects and report to management regularly.
Support 5-S, Kaizen Team and Koyo Production Systems, TS16949 and ISO14000 efforts throughout the plant.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
3 years’ experience in an engineering position preferred
Experience with CNC lathes, programming, and maintenance preferred
Experience with Fanuc controls preferred but not mandatory
Bearings experience preferred
Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing setting. The role involves working closely with production equipment and requires the use of various technologies and tools, including CAD software. The position supports initiatives such as 5-S, Kaizen Team, Koyo Production Systems, TS16949, and ISO14000 throughout the plant.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00
