Basic Job Functions:
The Sample Inspector responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the divisions safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability objectives. The Sample Inspectors main task is to safely maintain a quality product through the rolling process while safely working in and around hot steel, and also entering sample data in to our computer program for record keeping. Additional responsibilities include roll changing mill stands, operating crane and/or mobile equipment, as well as, operating mill equipment. The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, vacation coverage, and holidays. [[cust_safetyState]]
Minimum Requirements:
Working knowledge and or experience of the rolling process.

Machines and Processes - Using either control mechanisms or direct activity to operate equipment and processes, this includes monitoring equipment and processes to ensure they are working properly.
Preferences:
Basic knowledge of the CCS mills.
Overhead crane experience.
Successful cross training for Sample Shack
Basic knowledge of the Finishing process.
