Aerotek Team Lead | 23-25/hr in Bluffton, Ohio

Team Lead | Starting Pay $23-25/hr

  1. Team Management : Oversee 10-20 associates, including non-English speakers, with potential use of translators.

  2. Production Oversight : Manage 13-27+ machines, ensuring smooth operation and addressing any production issues promptly.

  3. Safety and Quality : Prioritize safety, enforce proper PPE usage, and maintain quality standards.

  4. Reporting and Documentation : Document daily production metrics and input data into Excel and production tracking software.

  5. Communication : Facilitate communication between shifts and various departments (maintenance, production, engineering, quality).

  6. Hands-On Work : Be prepared to engage in physical tasks, such as operating machines and moving parts.

  7. Training and Development : Train new employees and ensure ongoing training for the team.

  8. Productivity Management : Ensure that productivity targets are met each shift, using root cause analysis to address issues.

  9. Flexibility : Be willing to fill in roles as needed, particularly when short-staffed.

Skills Required:

  • Communication Skills : Critical for effective team management and interdepartmental coordination.

  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with production tracking software.

  • Problem-Solving : Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement improvements.

  • Leadership : Experience in managing teams and addressing personnel issues.

Work Environment:

  • 100% time spent on the production floor, indicating a hands-on approach to supervision.

  • Will involve varying departments (paint, molding, stamping), requiring adaptability and a quick learning curve.

Additional Considerations:

  • The "see something, do something" philosophy emphasizes proactive leadership.

  • Adherence to FIFO (First In, First Out) processes is essential for production efficiency.
