Direct Support Professionals
RIGHTS is an employer offering on-the-job-training for Direct Support Professionals who will learn on the job how to assist with personal care, administering medication, providing companionship, bathing and getting dressed, assist with instrumental activities of daily living, provide services as indicated on Resident treatment and service plan and assist with setting up, serving meals and cleaning up afterwards.
ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING SKILLS TO BE LEARNED:
ASSISTING W/ PERSONAL CARE: DAILY BATHING, ADMINISTERING MEDICATION, MEAL PREPARATION
COMMUNICATION: SHARING, RECEIVING, AND PROCESSING INFORMATION, WRITTEN AND NON-VERBAL
ADMINISTRATIVE TASK: COMPILES, PREPARES, AND SORTS DOCUMENTS, SUCH AS MAIL
AND RECEIPTS, SUBSTANTIATING PERSONAL TRANSACTIONS.
MOBILITY: ASSISTS IN TRANSPORTATION TO APPOINTMENTS, TO AND FROM BED BY WAY OF HOYER LIFT OR 2 HAND ASSIST.
ADMINISTRATIVE/CLERICAL: LEARNS GPS SOFTWARE FOR ELECTRONIC VISIT VERIFICATION
ADMINISTRATIVE/CLERICAL: ASSISTS WITH DATA CONVERSIONS, VERIFIES RECORDS AND REPORTS.
AUTISM SPECTRUM TRAINING 2.0: INTRODUCTION TO AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER, DISPEL COMMON MISCONCEPTION, AND GAIN SKILLS TO CARE FOR PERSONS WITH AUTISM AND INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES
FACILITIES ASSISTANCE: LEARN LOCAL SOURCES OF SUPPLIES FOR THE FACILITY, LUNCH SCHEDULES, OFFICE MAINTENANCE, & SCHEDULE
