Job Title: Rough Carpenter/Framer

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and skilled rough carpenters/framers to join our team for a significant non-profit project in Bear Creek Village, Luzurne County. The project, funded by the Tim Tebow Foundation, involves constructing a year-round camp for children with special needs and disabilities. This is a contract-to-hire position with the potential for direct hire after a successful 6-month assignment. The project spans over 4 years, with 14 large buildings to be constructed throughout the property.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.

• Measure, cut, and shape wood and other materials.

• Assemble and install framework including subflooring and walls.

• Install windows, doors, and other fixtures.

• Ensure structural integrity and adherence to building codes.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Essential Skills

• Framing or rough carpentry experience

• Reliable transportation

• Possession of own tools, including power tools and blueprint reading capability

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 1-2 years of commercial rough carpentry/framing experience

• Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings

• Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools

• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Work Environment

This position is based on a commercial construction job site. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour days, Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00
